Best Wholesale Ordering Software 2026

Wholesale ordering platforms compared: portals, EDI bridges and order intake. Which fits your account mix, and why.

01

How orders get into your system

A customer emails a purchase order. LevelOps reads it whatever the layout, matches each line against your Shopify catalog, applies the pricing that account was promised, and writes a Shopify draft order.

02

Where it stops

Nothing ships without a person. Every order lands as a draft with the source file attached, so the last word stays with your team.

03

The measured difference

Processing goes from about six minutes an order to about one. The measured error rate is 0.5% against 3% for manual entry, which is 6x fewer, and a human still signs off. An erroneous order costs about $250 to unwind.

FAQ

Questions teams ask first

Portal, EDI or order intake: which one fits us?

It depends on your account mix. A portal suits accounts that will log in and reorder. EDI suits the large partners who mandate it. Intake automation covers the rest, the accounts that send a document and will not change how they buy.

Why do wholesale portals see low adoption?

Because they ask the buyer to change habit for the seller's benefit. Long tail accounts already have a system that produces a PO, and emailing it costs them nothing. A portal adds a login to their day and takes something away from it.

Can we run a portal and automated intake at the same time?

Yes, and most merchants should. Accounts that adopt the portal use it, and the orders that arrive as documents anyway stop landing on someone's desk. The two cover different halves of the same account list.

Does this work with Shopify B2B pricing?

Yes. Each line is matched to your catalog and priced against the company and price list that account is attached to, so contract pricing is a system rule rather than something a person has to remember.

What happens to orders the system is unsure about?

They still become a Shopify draft order, with the source file attached and the uncertain lines visible. Nothing is finalised without a person, so an unclear order costs a review rather than a credit note.

How much volume do the published plans cover?

Up to 100 orders a month, from a free tier covering your first five orders to Growth at $250 a month. Above 100 a month we quote rather than publish a price.
