Press and media

Company facts, boilerplate, documented customer results, brand assets and a press contact for journalists writing about B2B order automation on Shopify. Everything on this page is verifiable, and we will say so plainly when something is not.

One paragraph you can quote

LevelOps is a Montreal based operations and technology company working with manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers. Alongside its ERP, MRP and Shopify implementation practice, it builds PDF to Order, an application that reads the purchase orders a wholesaler's customers send by email, as PDF, Excel, CSV, Word or plain text, matches every line against the seller's Shopify catalogue, applies that account's contracted B2B pricing, and creates a Shopify draft order for a person to approve. The company's position is that automation in order flow should always be checkable: nothing is committed or shipped without a human signing off, and the source document stays attached to the order.

That paragraph is cleared for direct quotation and does not need to be checked with us before publication.

Boilerplate

Short form, 25 words. LevelOps builds PDF to Order, a Shopify app that turns emailed purchase orders into validated draft orders for wholesalers, with a human approving every order.

Standard form, 55 words. LevelOps is a Montreal operations and technology company serving manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers. It implements ERP, MRP and Shopify systems, and builds PDF to Order, an app that converts inbound purchase orders arriving as PDF, Excel, CSV or email text into Shopify draft orders matched to the seller's catalogue and contracted pricing, for human approval.

Long form, 95 words. LevelOps is an operations and technology company based in Montreal, Quebec, and a product of Obius Inc. It works with manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers in Canada, the United States and Europe, implementing ERP, MRP and Shopify systems, and it builds PDF to Order, an application for Shopify B2B merchants. PDF to Order reads purchase orders that arrive as PDF, Excel, CSV, Word documents, scans or email text, matches each line to the merchant's Shopify catalogue including when buyers use their own part numbers, applies the price list agreed with that account, and creates a Shopify draft order for a person to review and approve. The app holds a 5.0 rating and Built for Shopify status on the Shopify App Store. LevelOps operates in English and French.

What the product does, in plain terms

Written for a reader who does not work in wholesale. Each card is a claim we can demonstrate on request.

The problem it addresses

Business to business buyers do not check out on a website. They send a purchase order, and somebody at the supplier retypes it into their system, line by line, from whatever format the buyer chose. Merchants describe five to ten minutes per order.

What it reads

PDF attachments, Excel and CSV files, Word documents, scanned and handwritten forms, and plain text in the body of an email. No template is configured per customer, which is the difference from older document parsing tools.

How it matches

Each line is resolved against the merchant's own Shopify catalogue, including when the buyer orders by their internal part number or by a loose description. Lines that cannot be resolved with confidence are flagged rather than guessed.

Where the price comes from

From the merchant's Shopify price list for that account, never from the number printed on the buyer's document. This is a deliberate design rule, because accepting a stale price on a document is a common and expensive error.

Where it stops

At a Shopify draft order, with the source file attached. A person reviews, adjusts or rejects. Nothing is completed or shipped automatically, on any plan.

What it is not

It is not an EDI gateway, not an order management system, and not a buyer portal. It handles the document driven channels that those tools leave alone, and it complements rather than replaces them.

Documented customer results

Figures given to us by the merchants themselves and published as case studies on this site. Attribution is by company and role, and we ask that quotes be used with that attribution.

60% to under 10%
Emailed orders still needing manual entry, and 4x faster processing
About 60% of our orders come to us as PDFs and other file types attached to emails. Before adopting LevelOps, our team spent considerable time manually processing orders by moving information from disparate customer files into Shopify.

Returned to the customer service team, and the company's first AI implementation
Before LevelOps, B2B orders were entered manually or with Excel macros. Manual processing made the workload very unpredictable, especially on days with large orders that took enormous amounts of time.

Topics we will comment on

If your story touches any of these, we can usually help with context, data or a spokesperson at short notice.

  • The economics of manual order entry in B2B, and why the cost is usually invisible in a budget
  • How wholesale orders actually arrive, and why buyers resist portals
  • Running B2B on Shopify: companies, price lists, payment terms and where the native features stop
  • ERP and MRP implementation in manufacturing and distribution, including why projects fail
  • Applied AI in operations, and specifically where a review step should never be removed
  • Document extraction and catalogue matching as a technical problem
  • Building software in a bilingual market, and operating in English and French
  • What we get wrong, if you are writing about failure modes in automation

Coverage and announcements

We do not maintain a list of press clippings here, and we will not present partner listings, app store placements or customer reviews as media coverage. If you are looking for third party validation, the honest sources are the Shopify App Store listing, the Shopify Partner Directory, and the customer case studies on this site.

When there is something genuinely new to announce, a product capability, a partnership or a milestone we can substantiate, it is published and dated in the news releases section. Each release names the public record behind its claims, so you can check them rather than take our word for it. This page stays a press kit: boilerplate, facts and assets for a journalist on a deadline.

If you are working on a story and need something that is not here, ask. If we have the data, you can have it. If we do not, we will tell you that instead of estimating.

Brand assets and usage

Available on request through the contact page. A few rules, mostly because trademark owners other than us care about them.

  • LevelOps logo files, in the formats and colour variants you need for print or screen
  • Product screenshots of PDF to Order, provided on request and free of customer data
  • Spokesperson headshots for the CEO and the CTO
  • The Built for Shopify badge and the Shopify Plus Partner badge, which may not be altered, recoloured or combined with other marks
  • Shopify trademarks are used under Shopify's own usage guidelines, and any use in your article is subject to those guidelines rather than to ours
  • Please write the company as LevelOps, one word, and the product as PDF to Order, three words with no hyphens
