Luxury vehicle manufacturing · Project

Katana MRP for a luxury vehicle manufacturer

LOKI Coach converts Prevost motorhomes into high specification vehicles. We audited the operation and implemented Katana as a turnkey engagement.

The need

Low volume, high specification, and no two units alike

A LOKI coach is a Prevost motorhome rebuilt around contemporary design and heavy technical content, including a 96 kWh battery bank and solar. Manufacturing at that specification is low volume and configuration heavy, which is the hardest case for an MRP rollout: the bill of material is not a fixed recipe, and the system has to hold that without slowing the shop down.

  • Planning, inventory management and procurement reviewed before any configuration
  • A system that had to accommodate configuration heavy builds rather than repeat production
  • A rollout the client did not have to project manage themselves

The project

A turnkey MRP rollout

The engagement followed the same sequence as our other manufacturing implementations: audit the operation, then configure Katana against what the audit found, with LevelOps carrying the delivery.

  1. 01

    Operations audit

A review of planning, inventory management and procurement across the build process.

  2. 02

    Katana MRP implementation

Full configuration and rollout, delivered as a turnkey solution.

  3. 03

    Ongoing support

A follow on Katana support engagement, signed in January 2025.

Results

Turnkey, in the client's words

LOKI described the engagement as a true turnkey solution, which is the outcome the rollout was scoped to produce. A support engagement followed in January 2025.

  • The MRP went in as a turnkey engagement rather than a licence handover
  • A follow on support engagement was signed in January 2025

“LevelOps provided excellent support during the implementation of our new MRP system, offering a true turnkey solution.”

Questions about the LOKI Coach engagement

What does this page cover?

What LOKI Coach needed, the scope of the engagement and the systems implemented, which were Katana MRP. It is an implementation record rather than a measured case study.

Why are there no numbers on the outcome?

Because we did not measure them. Publishing a gain we never instrumented would be inventing one, so the page records what was done and stops there.

Could you do the same for us?

Likely, if you are on comparable systems. Describe your situation through the contact page and say what you already run, and we will tell you whether Katana MRP is the right starting point.

How does this relate to the Shopify app?

Implementation work puts the management system in place. PDF to Order handles the step before it, getting orders that arrive as documents into the system. Some clients have both, many have only one.

Can we speak to LOKI Coach?

Ask through the contact page. We check with the client before passing on any contact, so it depends on what they agree to.

Planning the same kind of project?

Tell us what you run today and what is breaking. We will tell you whether the system you are considering is the right one, before anyone signs anything.
